NoNuts Golden Peabutter Recipes




Puffed Rice and Peabutter Squares:

- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 cup Peabutter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 cups puffed rice
- 10 large marshmallows

Grease an 8 X 12 pan.  Bring peabutter and honey to a boil over medium heat or in microwave. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and marshmallows.  Stir until melted.  Add puffed rice and mix. Press into pan.


Peabutter Rocky Road:


- 1/2 cup Butter
- 3/4 cup Peabutter
- 1 cup coconut (optional)
- 1 package (12oz) butterscotch chips or chocolate chips
- 2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Melt butter, chips and peabutter on low heat or in microwave at medium. Remove from heat and add walnuts, coconut, and marshmallows.  Press into 8 X 8 pan.


 

Oatmeal Peabutter Cookies:

- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. Baking powder
- 1 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. Salt (optional)
- 1 cup margarine or butter

- 1 cup Peabutter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional but tasty)

Oven 350 degrees F.  Combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.  Set aside.  Beat margarine and peabutter until smooth.  Add sugars and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time and beat.  Add vanilla. Blend in flour mixture and chocolate chips if using.

On an ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart, do not flatten. Bake 9-12 min. until lightly browned.  Remove from oven and allow to rest for about 5 min. for easier removal from cookie sheet.  Cool on wire rack.  Store in tightly covered container.


Grandma's Favorite Peabutter Cookies:

- 1/2 Cup of Margarine or Butter
- 1/2 Cup of Peabutter (remember NONUTS)
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tea spoon of vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups of flour
- 1 tea spoon of baking soda

Cream together the margarine or butter and Peabutter with 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar. 

Then add 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1 tea spoon of baking soda and mix well until smooth.

Shape into 1 inch balls, place on greased cookie sheet, press flat with a fork. 

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Cool, eat and enjoy... got milk?


 

Rainbow Cookies

 


1 cup NoNuts Golden Peabutter     

3 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup butter

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup minature chocolate chips

2/3 cup white sugar

1/3 cup miniature coated chocolate bits

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla Large candy coated chocolate bits such as

1 tbsp corn syrup 

Large candy coated chocolate bits such as

Nestle Smarties or Vermont Nut Free Skippers for decoration

 

Cream peabutter, butter, brown and white sugar together.  Beat in eggs.

Add vanilla and syrup.  Mix in remaining ingredients.

Drop by spoonfuls on greased pan.  Flatten with fingers, press a large

chocolate bit in the centre.  Bake at 325 degrees for 7 minutes for small

cookies or up to 10 minutes for large cookies. 

Do not over bake as it makes the cookies hard

 



Thai Peabutter Sauce

       

1 1/2 cups NoNuts Golden Peabutter

3 tbsp soya sauce

        1 1/2 cups coconut milk

2 tbsp oyster sauce

        1 cup water

3 tbsp hot sauce

       1/4 cup lime juice

3 cloves garlic

      1/2 cup pineapple juice

1 tsp ginger

      1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp dry cilantro

        1 tsp red chili peppers

 

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

This is an easy no-cook recipe that has authentic Thai taste.  It is spicy and

nutty flavored... perfect for a dipping sauce for chicken, shrimp or beef.

 

 

Apple Peabutter Caramel Bars:

- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 2/3 cup NoNuts Golden Peabutter

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13X9 pan.Mix flour, oats & brown sugar. With 2 knives or a pastry blender, cut in margarine & peabutter until crumbly. Reserve 3 cups of mixture. Press remainder into prepared pan.

Filling:

- 1 1/4 cups apples, peeled cored & chopped
- 1  14 oz. pkg. Caramels, unwrapped
- 2 Tbsp. Milk
- 2 Tbsp. NoNuts Golden Peabutter

Sprinkle apples over flour, oat mixture in pan. Microwave caramels & milk on high for 2-3 minutes, until smooth, stirring occasionally. Stir in peabutter. Drizzle caramel mixture over apples. Sprinkle reserved flour, oat mixture over top. Pat down slightly. Bake 25-30 minutes, until golden brown. Cool & cut into bars.


No Nuts Crunchies


 

- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 1/2 cups marshmallows
- 1/2 cup NoNuts Golden Peabutter
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 2 cups cereal
-1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup finely chopped dried apricots
- Line an 8X8 pan with foil.

Mix cereal, oatmeal, cranberries & apricots.

Melt margarine in a large pot over medium heat. Add marshmallows, stirring until melted. Remove from heat and add milk. Add peabutter and stir until smooth. Stir in cereal mixture. Press mixture into pan. Chill. Remove from pan & cut in squares.
